Although some parents may be hesitant to have their kids enrol in martial arts because of the aggression perception, know that a traditional martial arts school place heavy emphasis on a child’s self-control, responsibility and discipline rather than those brutal attitudes. Martial arts improve a child’s self confidence, and be able to learn self defence skills that are practical while at the same time have fun in doing the activities that help them develop their flexibility, fitness and agility.

Having your kids enrolled in swimming lessons is another great idea. In the first place, the ability to swim is an important life skill that could save your kids’ life if something happens while in the water.
